terrabambu.net appeared on line in 2001 as the first collection of bamboo information in Italian language. In the successive years it evolved in terms of content and new pages were added also in English and Japanese. In 2003 terrabambu.net served as the web reference for the Italian Bamboo Association, leading to the organization of the bi-annual meeting of the European Bamboo Societies in Menaggio on Lake Como. terrabambu.net continues to have original material and references to other sites on various aspects of bamboo.  I encourage any type of communication and contact to promote the knowledge and information exchange on this marvelous plant.
